Dental implants Thailand: costs compared with Vietnam.
Dental implants in Thailand cost from about THB 55,000 for one implant, and up to roughly THB 105,000 for a brand name system with a zirconia crown, on the published clinic price lists we read. At the exchange rate in October 2026 that is about US$1,600 to US$3,100. In Vietnam, through a clinic vetted by Dental Link, a single implant starts from US$950, for the post, the abutment and the crown. This page shows both countries' published figures, so you can compare them yourself.
What Dental Implants Cost in Thailand
One dental implant in Thailand costs about THB 55,000 to THB 105,000 on the two published price lists we read. At about 33 to 34 baht to one US dollar in October 2026, that is roughly US$1,600 to US$3,100. One implant in Vietnam starts from US$950 through Dental Link's vetted clinics.
The two Thai lists do not price the same thing. A Bangkok clinic lists THB 65,000 to THB 105,000 for one implant with a zirconia crown. A Phuket hospital's 2025 list shows THB 55,000 to THB 80,000 for the implant on its own, with bone grafting and a sinus lift quoted on top. So the lowest Thai figure leaves the crown out, and the Bangkok one puts it in. On both lists a Korean system sits at the low end and a European one costs more. The Vietnam figure has the post, abutment and crown inside it.
| Published Thai price list | What one implant costs | What the figure covers |
|---|---|---|
| Bangkok clinic | THB 65,000 to THB 105,000 | One implant with a zirconia crown, by brand. A Korean system is at the low end, a European or a metal free ceramic system at the top. |
| Phuket hospital, 2025 list | THB 55,000 to THB 80,000 per unit | The implant on its own. A Korean system is THB 55,000, a European one THB 80,000. Bone grafting and a sinus lift are quoted on top. |
Both lists quote in Thai baht, and both set the price by the implant brand you choose. Rates move every day, so check today's before you compare. There is no single average, because the brand sets the figure.
Two things change the price of tooth implants in Thailand more than the city does. The first is the implant brand. A Korean post costs less than a European or a ceramic one, and that choice moves the figure by thousands of baht. The second is what the quote leaves out. A Bangkok dental implant price that includes the crown is not the same as a Phuket figure for the post alone. Bone grafting adds bone where the jaw is thin. A sinus lift adds bone to the upper jaw, below the sinus. Both are extra in every country, so a low headline price with these left off is not really low.

Implant Prices by City: Bangkok, Phuket, Pattaya and Chiang Mai
This page has a published implant price list for two of these four cities. The Bangkok list starts at THB 65,000 with a zirconia crown. The Phuket list starts at THB 55,000 for the implant alone. We print no figure for Pattaya or Chiang Mai, because we have not read a full published list from either city.
All four cities treat overseas patients. What differs is how openly each clinic publishes its prices.
The capital has the most clinics and the fullest price lists, plus large hospitals with international accreditation. Most of them publish online, which is why the clearest figures on this page come from there.
On the holiday island, hospitals and clinics treat visitors between beach days. At least one hospital there publishes an implant price list, and it sits close to Bangkok for the same brand.
Pattaya clinics are used to foreign patients, but fewer publish a full list, so ask for one. The price still comes down to the implant brand and what the quote leaves in.
The quieter north draws patients to Chiang Mai. Published lists vary there, so a price is best confirmed clinic by clinic, with the brand named in writing.
The lesson across all four cities is the same. The implant brand and what the quote covers set the price. Wherever you look, ask for an itemised quote, with the brand named, before you judge a figure.
Zirconia, Ceramic and Mini Implants, and a Full Smile
A dental implant is not one product. The type you choose changes the price and the look, so it helps to know the main ones before you read a quote.
Zirconia dental implants in Thailand are metal free and tooth coloured. Ceramic ones use that material for the whole post, not only the crown. Both sit at the top of the Bangkok list, around THB 105,000, because the material costs more.
Mini dental implants are narrower posts, sometimes used to hold a loose lower denture steady. Their cost in Thailand is set case by case, so ask the clinic for its own figure. We did not find a published Thai price for them that we trust, so we do not quote one.
Implant retained dentures are a removable plate that clips onto two or more implants. Their cost in Thailand is usually below a fixed full arch, and it is priced on your case. Again, no public Thai list gave us a figure we could stand behind, so ask each clinic.
Full dental implants in Thailand, meaning a whole arch on four posts, which is called All-on-4, cost from about THB 250,000 per jaw on the lists we read. Rebuilding a full smile that way is its own subject: see how All-on-4 compares in Thailand and Vietnam, and how a full arch is priced in Vietnam.

Thailand and Vietnam, Compared on Price
On published figures, a single implant runs from about THB 55,000 up to THB 105,000 in Thailand. In Vietnam it starts from US$950, at a Dental Link vetted clinic. At October 2026 exchange rates, the Thai range works out near US$1,600 to US$3,100.
The two numbers do not cover the same parts. Vietnam's starting price is for a whole tooth, meaning post, abutment and crown, on an entry level implant system. A Thai figure can leave the crown out, so read what each quote includes. Both countries quote bone grafting and a sinus lift on top. In each case, your real price is the clinic's written quote.
Price is half the decision. The other half is who checked the clinic and who read the quote. In Thailand that job is yours, or it falls to whoever you booked through. In Vietnam, a clinic must pass Dental Link's 18 published checks before we list it, and an advisor who lives in that city visits it in person. We then read your two written quotes line by line before you fly.
Thailand built its name in dental tourism long before Vietnam did. It has welcomed overseas patients for decades, the big Bangkok hospitals hold international accreditation, and every dentist is registered with the Dental Council of Thailand. None of that is in question.
| What you are comparing | Thailand, published price lists | Vietnam, through Dental Link |
|---|---|---|
| What a single implant costs | THB 55,000 to 105,000 per implant, set by the brand | from US$950 at a vetted clinic. Your figure is the clinic's written quote. |
| What that price includes | It varies by clinic, and a crown can be billed on its own | The implant post, abutment and crown, all itemised in your quote |
| Who inspected the clinic | You, or whoever you booked through | A Dental Link advisor, in person, in the clinic's city, before it is listed |
| Who reads your quote | You, usually by email | Dental Link, line by line, comparing two clinics before you fly |
| What Dental Link charges you | It is a Thai clinic, so this does not apply | Nothing. 100% free for patients. The clinic pays our commission, never you. |
Thailand figures are in Thai baht and Vietnam figures in US dollars, because that is how each is published. We have not converted the table, so look up today's rate to read it like for like.
Dental Link works only in Vietnam, so that is the one side we can vouch for. We are not calling Thailand worse, and we do not promise you a set saving. We lay out the published figures and let you weigh them. If it is veneers you are weighing, not implants, compare veneers in Thailand and Vietnam instead. How a Dental Link Implant Quote Is Put Together
A Dental Link quote for one implant is the Vietnam clinic's own written quote. It is itemised, and we check it against that clinic's list price. Here is the order it happens in.
- You take a free 10-minute call. You tell your advisor what you need and what you were quoted at home, and you share any X-rays.
- Your advisor presents your case to our partner clinics in Vietnam. Only clinics that passed all 18 checks are in that network.
- Within 24 hours, your advisor sends you two clinics that fit, with a walk through video of each. Written quotes usually follow within hours of your X-rays.
- A quote usually lists the implant post by brand, the abutment, the crown and its material, the appointments across both trips, and the written warranty terms.
- Extraction, bone grafting, a sinus lift, temporary teeth and imaging on arrival are usually separate lines, so nothing hides inside one price.
- We compare what each quote includes, the materials and the warranty, not just the total. We also hold it up to the clinic's list price, which is how you get the same price as booking direct.
- You choose. The clinic pays our commission, it is the same whichever clinic you pick, and it is never added to your quote. You pay no deposit, and you pay the clinic directly.
- Your advisor sits beside you at your first appointment and translates the plan, the materials and the warranty terms.

How to Read Thailand Implant Reviews
Reviews of Thai implant clinics are worth reading for red flags, but they are not a substitute for a vetted clinic. A review cannot confirm a licence, an implant brand or a price.
A forum thread, or a post on Reddit, will show happy patients and horror stories in the same place. A glowing review does not prove a clinic is licensed, and a single bad post does not prove it is not. The numbers quoted in those threads come from strangers, on different cases in different years, so they are not your quote.
Use the stories to build your questions, not your decision. Dental Link runs 18 checks on a clinic in Vietnam, and eight of them can be done from home, by email. The same eight questions suit a clinic in Thailand:
- Can you send your operating licence, with the name and address it covers?
- Which dentist would treat me? Then check that dentist's licence yourself through the Thai Dental Council.
- How many cases like mine has this dentist done?
- Which lab makes the teeth, and can I see its certification?
- Which implant brand would you use? Ask the clinic to name it in writing, with proof of supply.
- Can you send your price list and an itemised plan?
- How many years is the warranty, and what happens if something fails after I fly home?
- Can I see your steriliser records?
The other ten checks need a visit, records or follow-up over time. That is the work Dental Link does for patients, and only in Vietnam. Our guide to safety checks for dental work in Vietnam shows which checks you can run before the trip, and the eight questions are set out in full there too.

Common Questions About Dental Implants in Thailand
What country is the best place to get dental implants?
There is no single best country. Thailand, Vietnam, Turkey, Hungary and Mexico all have excellent clinics, and all have poor ones. The clinic and the dentist matter more than the map. What counts is who checked the clinic in person and who read your quote before you paid. Dental Link does both, and only in Vietnam.
How much is one single tooth implant?
In Thailand, published clinic price lists put one implant at about THB 55,000 at the low end and THB 105,000 at the top, set by the brand. The dearer figure includes a zirconia crown, while some lists price the crown on its own. In Vietnam, a clinic vetted by Dental Link starts a single implant at US$950, which covers the post, abutment and crown together. Your real figure is the written quote.
Is it worth going to Thailand for dental work?
For many people it is, if the clinic is a good one. Thailand has treated overseas dental patients for decades and has skilled dentists. The risk is the same everywhere, which is picking the wrong clinic. Price the flights, the hotel and two trips for implants, and read the warranty before you book.
Is dental work cheaper in Thailand than in Australia?
Usually yes, dental work in Thailand costs well below Australian fees. Published Australian prices for one implant are A$3,000 to A$7,000. Thai clinic lists put the same work far below that. Vietnam's starting figure for one implant is from US$950. Compare the written quotes, because that is your real price.
Where is the best place in Thailand to get dental implants?
Bangkok has the widest choice of clinics and the most complete price lists, and large hospitals with international accreditation. Phuket, Pattaya and Chiang Mai treat overseas patients too. There is no single best place for dental implants in Thailand, because the clinic matters more than the city. Check the dentist's licence on the Dental Council of Thailand website before you book.
Are Thailand dental packages worth it?
A package can be worth it, but only if you price what is inside it. Dental Link does not sell Thailand packages, so we will not rank them. What matters is the implant brand, the crown, bone grafting, the number of trips and the warranty. A low package price that leaves those out is not a low price, so get every line in writing before you pay.
How long do dental implants last?
With good care, dental implants often last many years, and many people keep them for decades. How long yours hold up depends on your gums, the bone, your health and how you clean them. No dentist can promise a number for your mouth. Your treating dentist is the one who sets what to expect.
How much do full mouth dental implants cost in Thailand?
A full mouth, or full arch, means a whole row of teeth on several implants, usually four, which is called All-on-4. Thai price lists we read put one arch from about THB 250,000, by implant system. That is a bigger subject with its own page. See our guide to All-on-4 in Vietnam for how a full arch is priced and quoted.
Which country is the cheapest to get All-on-4 dental implants?
No one country is always the cheapest for All-on-4, and the lowest price often includes the least. Thai lists put a full arch from about THB 250,000. In Vietnam, All-on-4 starts from US$3,900 per arch at a vetted clinic, for the implants plus the fixed teeth. Compare what each arch price includes, not just the number.
Which country is better for dental implants, Thailand or Vietnam?
Both have excellent clinics and weak ones, so neither country is better on its own. Compare the published figures here, where one implant is listed from about THB 55,000 in Thailand and from US$950 in Vietnam. Your real number is the written quote in each case. What settles it is who inspected the clinic and read that quote for you.
Is it safe to get dental implants in Thailand?
Thailand has many well run clinics, and the Dental Council of Thailand registers its dentists. As in any country, the risk sits in the clinic you choose, not the country. Before you book, check the dentist's licence, ask for the implant brand in writing, and read the warranty. Dental Link cannot vet Thai clinics, because we work only in Vietnam.
What are the cheapest dental implants in Thailand?
The cheapest implants in Thailand are usually the entry level Korean systems, from about THB 55,000 on the lists we read. Cheap is not the same as right for you. A low price can leave out the crown, the abutment, bone grafting or a proper warranty. Ask for an itemised quote so you know what the figure buys.
How many trips do dental implants take?
Usually two, with a gap of months between them. The first visit places the post, and the second fits the crown once your jaw has healed around it, which takes about three to nine months. A simple crown or a check can sometimes be done in one visit. Plan for two sets of flights, not one.
How long should I stay for the first visit?
Plan for several days to about a week on the first trip, so the clinic has time for the scan, the surgery and a review before you fly home. Your exact stay depends on how much work is planned and how you heal. The clinic gives you a day by day schedule once it has your scan.
What happens if my implant has a problem after I fly home?
That is why the warranty matters. A good clinic puts in writing what it covers and for how long, and many work with a dentist in your home country for small fixes. Before you book, ask who handles a problem once you are back, and what that costs. Keep a copy of your treatment notes and receipts in case you need them.
How do I check a Thai dentist is qualified?
Look the dentist up on the national register, confirm the clinic will show its paperwork, and ask who exactly will do the surgery. Then get the implant brand in writing and read the warranty. Dental Link makes these checks in person, but only in Vietnam, so elsewhere they are yours to do.
Do I need a visa to visit Thailand for dental work?
It depends on your passport. Visitors from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the US and Canada can often enter for a short stay without a visa, though the rules change and a longer stay can need one. Check your own government's travel advice before you book flights, and leave room for a second trip later.
Can I turn the trip into a holiday as well?
Many people do, and the beaches and the city are part of the appeal. Keep the plans gentle around the surgery days, since you can be sore for a few days afterwards. Save diving, long tours or anything strenuous for the healing weeks, or for the second trip. Your dentist says what is fine and when.
