Bali dental implants, compared with Vietnam on cost and risk.
Bali dental implants start at about IDR 12 million for the implant screw alone, and reach roughly IDR 17.5 million to IDR 25 million once the crown is added, on Bali clinics' own 2026 price lists. Bali has real strengths: for most Australians it is the shorter flight, and it is a familiar place. Vietnam clinic prices on our own pages start from US$950 per implant in the currency clinics there quote. We do not convert one into the other, and we do not claim one country is better. What matters more than the map is who stood in the clinic and went through your quote. That is what Dental Link does, and only in Vietnam.
What a Dental Implant Costs in Bali
A dental implant in Bali costs between IDR 17.5 million and IDR 25 million with its crown, on the Bali clinic price lists and the expat price guide we read in October 2026. The screw by itself starts at about IDR 12 million, which one clinic rounds to about AUD 1,200 in its own guide. A crown bought separately is IDR 4.5 million to IDR 6 million per tooth. For a rough guide in US dollars, the ExpatDen guide puts its own figures for an implant with a crown near US$1,170 to US$1,390.
The two starting figures differ because a dental implant has three parts: a screw that sits in the jaw, an abutment that connects to it, and a crown on top. The screw is the cheapest part. A clinic that quotes the screw alone shows a small number, and the real total ends up higher. The system also moves the price, from entry level brands to the dearest ones. So ask every Bali clinic one thing first: does this price include the abutment and the crown? What an implant costs in Bali is really a range, not one figure.
| Treatment in Bali | Published price, in rupiah | Rough foreign guide |
|---|---|---|
| Implant screw, on its own | from about IDR 12 million | about AUD 1,200, a clinic's own guide |
| Implant with its crown | about IDR 17.5m to 25m | about US$1,170 to US$1,390 for the ExpatDen guide's own figures, which sit in the upper part of this range |
| Full arch on implants | from about IDR 110m per arch | about US$6,100 in the ExpatDen guide, fixed teeth can be extra |
| Crown, per tooth | IDR 4.5m to 6m | AUD 450 (a clinic's guide) at the low end, about US$333 (the ExpatDen guide) at the high |
| Dentures, per jaw | IDR 2.5m to 7.5m | about AUD 250 for a basic plate, a clinic's own guide |
Rupiah is the currency clinics there quote in. In the third column, the Australian dollar guides are one clinic's own rounded approximations, printed beside its rupiah prices. The US dollar guides come from our third source, the ExpatDen guide, which converts the rupiah at roughly IDR 18,000 to the US dollar (October 2026). We have not converted anything ourselves. Your own price would come as a written, itemised quote from the clinic you pick.

All-on-4 and Full Mouth Implants in Bali
All-on-4 in Bali starts at about IDR 110 million per arch, on the one published figure we found. It comes from the Bali price list printed in the ExpatDen guide, which puts it at about US$6,100 and notes that the final set of fixed teeth can cost extra. A full arch price is harder to source than a single implant, because many clinics will not publish one at all. Their price lists say the full arch is quoted after a consultation, once a dentist has seen your scan.
All-on-4 holds a full row of fixed teeth on four implants. An arch is one row, upper or lower. A full mouth is both rows, so it is two arches and two prices. When people ask what full mouth dental implants cost in Bali, that is the first thing to pin down: one row, or both. In Vietnam, All-on-4 starts from US$3,900 for each arch through Dental Link, and that covers the implants plus the fixed teeth.
Read any full arch figure with care. A full arch quote should name the implants, the metal bar, the temporary teeth, and the final set of teeth, which is sometimes priced on top.
The brand, the material of the final arch, and any bone work all move the figure. A quote that leaves bone grafting or the final teeth out looks cheaper than it is.
Get the whole plan in writing: both trips, the days for each, the warranty terms, and what is not included. That is the only way to compare two quotes fairly.

Bali Dentures and What They Cost
Bali dentures cost from about IDR 2.5 million to IDR 7.5 million per jaw, on the clinic lists we read. A basic acrylic plate is the low end, and one clinic rounds it to about AUD 250 in its own guide. A denture on a metal frame costs more, and one held on implants costs more again.
Dentures in Bali are a cheaper way to replace missing teeth than implants, and they are a common reason people fly over. A denture is a removable set of false teeth on a plate. What it costs also depends on how many teeth you need, because the lists often price the first tooth, then each one after it. So the honest answer is a range, and your real figure is the written quote for your own mouth.
We do not publish a Vietnam denture price, because we have not sourced one we trust. In Vietnam, dentures come as a written quote from the clinic we match you with, at the clinic's own price. You can see the crown prices and implant prices we do publish for Vietnam.

Bali Compared With Vietnam, Point by Point
On price, a single implant with its crown runs from IDR 17.5 million up to IDR 25 million on the Bali lists, and starts from US$950 in Vietnam through Dental Link. For a full arch, the one Bali figure we found begins near IDR 110 million, and Vietnam starts from US$3,900 per arch. As a rough guide in one currency, ExpatDen works its own Bali figures out at US$1,170 to US$1,390 for an implant with a crown, and about US$6,100 for a full arch.
On travel, Bali is the shorter trip for most Australians. Perth to Bali is about 3 hours 45 minutes, and Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City is about 8 hours 50 minutes. On checking, a Bali clinic is yours to vet from home, by email. In Vietnam, a Dental Link advisor who lives in the city visits the clinic in person against 18 published checks, then reads both clinics' quotes with you.
The Bali prices are the sourced figures above, and the Vietnam prices are the ones we publish on our own treatment pages, in the US dollars that clinics there quote. The dollar guides for Bali are ExpatDen's, not ours. We never convert one currency to the other, a starting price is not a quote, and we do not promise you a set saving.
| What you are comparing | Booking a clinic in Bali yourself | Vietnam, through Dental Link |
|---|---|---|
| Single implant | See the rupiah price list above | From US$950, the same price as booking direct |
| Full arch of teeth | Often quoted after a consultation | From US$3,900 per arch, for the implants plus the fixed teeth |
| A crown | See the rupiah price list above | From US$150 per tooth. That is a starting price, and we have not yet checked it against our own clinics' price lists. Your own figure is the clinic's written quote. |
| Flight from Australia | Shorter. About 3 hours 45 minutes from Perth | About 8 hours 50 minutes, Sydney to Ho Chi Minh City |
| Who checks the clinic and your quote | You, from home and by email | An advisor who lives in the city visits it in person against 18 published checks, then reads both clinics' quotes with you |
| If the work fails at home | You arrange the return trip and the fix yourself | Remedial dental treatment for a covered issue is covered according to the clinic's warranty terms. Flights and hotels to come back are not covered. |
Bali is a genuine strength on travel: it is the shorter hop from Australia, and Perth is especially close. Vietnam is further, but Dental Link sends someone to the clinic and sits beside you at your first appointment. Neither row makes one country safer. That depends on the clinic you end up in.
You book a call. You book a flight. We do everything else, and we are beside you from the moment you land.

How Many Trips Bali Dental Implants Take
Bali dental implants usually take two trips, months apart. The same is true in Vietnam and at home. On the first trip the post goes into the jaw. The bone then has to grow around it before the final tooth is fitted, and Cleveland Clinic says that can take three to nine months. All-on-4 follows the same pattern, with the final fixed teeth fitted on the second visit.
So count two return flights and two stays. From Perth that is two short hops to Bali. For Vietnam it is two longer flights. Ask any clinic to write down the dates for both visits before you book a seat.
Leave spare days before the flight home. A 2023 review in the British Dental Journal says a patient should not fly home straight after a procedure, and that how long to wait depends on the treatment. Your treating dentist decides for your case, so ask before you book the return flight.
With Dental Link in Vietnam, your written quote lists the appointments and the gap between trips, so you book flights around real dates. After you fly home, your advisor checks in with you, and you have the clinic's direct line. Our guide on how long dental implants take covers the timeline step by step.

The Risks to Weigh, and How to Check Any Clinic
The risks with dental work in Bali are the ones you weigh wherever you travel for treatment. None is special to the island, and most come down to paperwork you can ask for before you pay. Here are five risks to weigh, then eight questions to email a Bali clinic.
The risks to weigh
- A cheaper implant system swapped in after the quote, without being told.
- A low number that hides the cost of the crown, the teeth or bone work.
- Follow up that is hard to arrange once you are back in Australia.
- A warranty you cannot read, with no one to call.
- A plan that grows in the chair, after you have arrived.
Eight questions to email a Bali clinic
- Can you send your licence, with the name and address it covers?
- Which dentist would treat me? Please send their registration.
- How many cases like mine has this dentist done?
- Which brand would you use? Can you show proof of supply?
- Which lab makes the teeth? Can I see its certification?
- Can you send your price list and an itemised plan?
- How many years is the warranty, what is covered, and how do I claim?
- Can I see your steriliser records?
Those eight questions are the part of Dental Link's 18 checks that anyone can run from home, by email. The other ten need a visit, records or follow-up over time. In Vietnam we do those ourselves: a local advisor walks through the clinic during working hours and sees patients being treated. We do not visit clinics in Bali, so there the other ten are yours to weigh. We make no clinical claims, because we are not dentists. A question about your own teeth goes back to the treating dentist.
You are welcome to use our clinic vetting checklist on a Bali clinic yourself, or read our guide to checking dental work abroad before you fly.
None of this is a mark against Bali. It has fine clinics and skilled dentists. The clinic decides the outcome, not the destination, so check the clinic hard.

How a Dental Link Quote Is Put Together
A Dental Link quote is the clinic's own written quote, at the clinic's own price. We add nothing to it. The clinic pays our commission, and we check each quote against the clinic's list price. Here is how you end up with two of them to hold next to a Bali price list.
- You book a free 10-minute call. You tell us what you need done, what you were quoted elsewhere and when you want it, and you share any X-rays.
- Your advisor presents your case to our partner network of clinics in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
- Clinics that suit your case send back a written plan and price, usually within hours of getting your X-rays.
- We compare what each quote includes, the materials and the warranty, not just the total.
- Within 24 hours of your call, you have two clinics. Each comes with a walk through video and a written quote that names the brand, the laboratory and the warranty.
- You choose one, or neither. Our commission is the same whichever clinic you pick.
- You pay no deposit. You pay the clinic directly, at the same price as booking direct.
- Your advisor is in the room at your first appointment, and translates the plan, the materials and the warranty terms.
David Shyu wrote about the two clinics in a published Facebook recommendation: "They personally connected me with two highly qualified dental clinics and even set up group chats so I could discuss my specific dental and health concerns directly with them." That is one person's own words. Dental Link did not do the dental work, and no medical result is promised.

Common Questions About Dental Implants in Bali
How much does a full mouth implant cost in Bali?
On one published Bali price list, a full arch starts at about IDR 110 million, which an expat price guide puts at roughly US$6,100. The final set of fixed teeth can be quoted on top. Many Bali clinics give a full arch price only after they examine you. A full mouth usually means two arches, so ask whether a number covers one row or both.
Is Bali a good place to get dental work done?
Bali has skilled dentists and modern clinics, and it is a short, familiar trip for most Australians. For many people it works out well. The care depends on the clinic and the dentist, not the island. Before you book, check the licence, the implant brand in writing, the lab and the warranty.
What are people saying about dental implants in Bali?
Reviews of dental implants in Bali are mixed, the way reviews are anywhere. Plenty of people are pleased. A few report a crown that did not fit, or a repair that was hard to sort out from home. Read a spread of them, look for detail about follow up, and be wary of a wall of identical five star posts.
What do people wish they had known before getting implants?
The thing most people wish they had known is that an implant is usually two trips, months apart, not one. The implant has to heal before the final tooth goes on. So budget for two sets of flights, and ask who helps you if something needs fixing after you fly home.
How does Bali compare with Vietnam for dental implants?
Both are popular with Australians, and both have good clinics and poor ones. Bali is the shorter flight. Our Vietnam pages quote clinic prices in US dollars that start low. We do not convert the figures for you, and we do not say one country wins. The bigger difference is who stands behind the clinic and your quote.
Is it cheaper to get dental implants in Bali or Vietnam?
We will not call one country cheaper, because the honest answer shifts by clinic, brand and month. The table on this page shows sourced Bali figures in rupiah and our Vietnam figures in US dollars. Read each in its own currency. A low headline price that leaves out the crown or the fixed teeth is not really a low price.
How much do dentures cost in Bali?
Bali clinic price lists put dentures at about IDR 2.5 million to IDR 7.5 million per jaw. A basic acrylic plate sits at the low end, and a metal framed one costs more. Ask what the figure includes, and how many teeth, because lists often price the first tooth and then each extra one.
What is the best country to go to for dental implants?
There is no single best country. Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam and Bali all sit well below Australian prices, and each has excellent clinics and weak ones. The clinic that treats you matters far more than the country on your ticket. Our country comparison lists the published ranges side by side.
Where can I find the best clinics for All-on-4 implants in Bali?
We do not name Bali clinics, because we only vet clinics in Vietnam. To judge a Bali clinic yourself, ask for the implant brand in writing, the name of the lab, the dentist's own case record, and the full warranty terms. Our clinic checklist sets out the same questions we put to clinics in Vietnam.
What teeth implants last the longest?
No one can honestly promise how long an implant lasts. Most implants are made of titanium, and some are zirconia. How long yours serves you depends on the bone, the fit, your daily care and the dentist, not the brand alone. Your treating dentist is the one who decides what suits your mouth.
Are Bali dental holiday packages a good idea?
A package can be handy, but read what it ties together. Check whether the dental price is itemised, whether you must pay anything before you arrive, and what happens if the plan changes in the chair. With Dental Link there are no deposits, ever, and your quote is in writing before you fly.
How long do I need to stay in Bali for dental implants?
Budget for two trips rather than one long holiday. The first covers the surgery and a few days of rest, then you fly home while it heals. You return months later to have the final tooth fitted. Ask the clinic to set out the dates for both visits before you book anything.
Why are dental implants cheaper in Bali than in Australia?
Mostly because running a clinic costs less there. Wages, rent and lab work are cheaper, so the same treatment is priced lower, even before any difference in the parts. The system used, and what a quote leaves out, still change the figure more than the destination does. Count the crown and any bone work before you call a price low.
What happens if an implant has a problem after I fly home?
Go back to the clinic that did the work first. Many offer a warranty, and remedial dental treatment for a covered fault is handled according to the clinic's warranty terms. Flights and hotels to come back are not covered, so think about how easily you can return before you choose a clinic far from home.
Can I claim Bali dental work on my private health insurance?
Usually you pay the clinic yourself and claim afterwards, if your fund allows it at all. Some extras policies reimburse part of overseas dental work, and some cover nothing outside the country, so check with your insurer before you fly. Keep every itemised receipt and your notes, because any claim will need them.
Do I still need my own dentist at home after implants in Bali?
Yes. You will want regular check ups, and someone to call if something feels wrong between trips or after the work is done. Tell your home dentist what was fitted, and keep the brand of the post and your records, so anyone can pick up your care later.
Should I get a dental check-up before I fly to Bali for implants?
It helps a lot. A check up and recent scans at home let a clinic give you a more accurate quote, and they can flag anything that needs sorting first. Bring your x-rays, or ask your dentist to send them. The treating dentist still makes the final plan once they examine you.
How to Compare Bali With Two Real Vietnam Quotes
Start with a 10-minute phone call with Dental Link. Two vetted clinics in Vietnam are matched to your case, and each sends a written quote that names the implant brand, the lab and the warranty. Hold both next to any Bali price list. You compare, and you choose.
